Dabrowaska Tarnowska, Poland
We started off the day davening in a shul. Although the shul is no longer in use, it was beautifully restored by the Poles. The paintings on the wall ornately display different Jewish symbols and themes. As it was Rosh Chodesh, we davened Hallel aloud together. Our voices were the first in a very long time to sing the famous tunes of Hallel in that shul. As out voices echoed off the walls, I couldn't help but think of the community who once sang here but whose voices were silenced suddenly and perminantly.
